Recovery Wish for Paulette

Have you ever thought you did something....and you didn't.  I thought I responded that I would participate in the TLC Blog Hop for Paulette, and I even told her daughter, but I forgot to send the email to Jennifer who was organizing it.  That is how things in my life have been going lately with trying to keep up with my house, the yard work, kids and life in general now that my husband has passed away.  I still feel a bit unorganized!
For this card I used a sentiment from TLC that is part a 10 piece set which is wonderful.  Paulette unfortunately had an accident and will be out all summer recovering.  She has the wonderful TLC, Create site with LOTS of freebies and affordable sentiments and images. You can make a card for her also and their is a wonderful blog hop going on for her.  Best wishes to Paulette over this summer.

Congratulations to the Bride and Groom

Next week is my best friend's daughters wedding, and I'm so excited!  There has been some family drama, but I'm hoping it all settles so she has the perfect day that she deserves and has been dreaming of.  I'm going with my friend on Saturday to pick up her dress which has been in for alterations so that is exciting.  Her colors are black and white.  So I made the card using Spellbinders and a wonderful sentiment from just came out from TLC.  I added some red for a splash of color with the ribbon and heart.

I'm a tractored to you

Doodle Pantry has this wonderful tractor set.  I used the brown tractor since there is this debate between red and green tractors on who this card is for.  The patterned paper is from the last club at TLC.  I used an embossing folder that looks like tire tracks for the circle.  I also distressed the edges of the image and sentiment.  Doodle Pantry challenge is to make a manly card so this is what I came up with.

Wishing you little moments of delight

I didn't fall off the face of the earth, but close.  I have been working a lot, trying to do some landscaping of my yard, keeping up with my house with the air conditioning giving me some grief and trying to stay in touch with my kids/family.  In between all of that, I have not had time to myself to work on cards.  I meant to get this card posted last week in time for the Stamp of the Month....but that didn't go as planned. My daughter came home from summer college and I worked the weekend, but we were able to spend some time together today among some other family drama.  I love this freebie sentiment from TLC.  And that's what we all need!!!
